Naftalan is a unique therapeutic crude oil, used for over a century to support joint, skin and circulatory health. At Sun City every bath is taken in a dedicated treatment wing, at a controlled temperature, under the supervision of our physicians.
How the course begins
Each course begins with an arrival consultation and basic tests, so the programme matches your condition precisely:
Blood and urine tests
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
A thorough assessment by the head doctor
A personal treatment plan for the whole stay
The daily session
A session lasts about 10 minutes at a controlled 37–38°C, followed by a warm shower and a rest period in the relaxation lounge. The standard course is 8–12 baths over 10–14 days, taken once daily in the morning. Physiotherapy, massage and a dietary table planned with our physicians support the effect between sessions.
Indications
Naftalan therapy is traditionally used for:
Musculoskeletal conditions — arthritis, osteochondrosis, joint and spine complaints
Dermatological concerns — psoriasis, eczema and related conditions
Peripheral nervous system disorders
Gynecological and circulatory concerns
Good to know
As with any medical procedure there are contraindications; our physicians confirm your personal programme on arrival and remain available throughout the stay. A closing check-up with take-home recommendations completes the course.
